How much does Rust server hosting cost in Australia?

Rust servers start at $72.00 AUD a month on the Extreme plan. Longer billing cycles carry a discount. The game you install never changes the price.

How much RAM does a Rust server need?

At least 8 GB of RAM and 20 GB of storage, on the performance CPU class or higher. We recommend 8 GB for a smoother experience. Plans below the minimum cannot install Rust.

Where are your Rust servers hosted?

In Australia. Our locations are Sydney and Melbourne. Each location's current availability is shown on the locations page.

Can I switch my Rust server to a different game?

Yes. You buy game server capacity, not a single game. Install another compatible game from the control panel and keep the same plan, location and billing. No new subscription or invoice is created.

When do Rust servers wipe?

Facepunch releases a monthly update on the first Thursday of the month (US time, which is Friday morning in Australia) and every server must wipe the map then. Many communities also wipe weekly or fortnightly in between.

What ports does a Rust server use?

Rust servers use UDP port 28015 for game traffic by default, with RCON usually on 28016.

How much RAM does a Rust server need?

We require 8 GB, which is the Extreme plan. Rust memory use grows with map size, entity count and plugins.
